Fun and informative day trip from Salzburg Gaby was fantastic. Our weather wasn't the best, but she made the tour so fun and informative that the weather didn't matter. She knew where to go for views and parking, gave us a good recommendation for lunch in Halstatt and other recommendations for where to go in Halstatt. We took the boat across to Obertraun, where she met us and brought us back to Salzburg. I feel like we spent the day with a good friend, not just a tour guide. Gaby has two children (Patrick and Lena) that you may get as tour guides, and I'm sure that they would be as nice and informative as Gaby. Take this tour :-)

Excellent comprehensive tour tailored to our interests An amazing, fun, informative and flexible tour tailored to our interests. Manfred was an excellent guide--so knowledgeable about the area and the subject--both the Eagle's Nest/Berchtesgaden sites and Sound of Music sights as well, taking us on short side trips to add to the experience. We loved every minute of this tour!

Great tour of Salzberg and Hallstatt We had a wonderful day in Salzburg and Hallstatt with Gabi. Our family of 4 arrived to the Salzburg train station from Wien and were pickup up there at 10:00am. Gabi was extremely pleasant and she went above and beyond to make our day special. She is from the Lake district herself and is an excellent guide in terms of imparting a sense of the history and salient facts of the region. Austria appeared to us to be behind other developed nations in facilities for disabled people, and our daughter can walk unassisted but does have challenges. The day of our tour it was raining and the access to Hallstatt was difficult for her. Gabi made it possible for her to enjoy the experience. She arranged a restaurant reservation in Hallstatt and allowed us to take the boat to an accessible pickup spot across the lake in Obertraun. On the way back to Salzburg, we completed a scenic tour of great beauty. Gabi even took a detour to allow us to stretch our legs and visit the lavatory even though we were close to Salzburg already. Highly recommend MCM Tours.

Great MCM tour again Planned with Manfred again and this time was no exception - seamless, smooth and full of interesting places and great restaurants (almost all are Michelin star or guide restaurants and he made all the reservations). He had great recommendations. We have the father and son team on the tour (Manfred and Partick), both are great guides, know their stuff so well. It was a multi days tour and we would love to stay longer. We enjoyed it so much. Highly recommended.

An Outstanding Multi-Day Private Tour Through the Alps We booked a four-day private journey with MCM Tours, traveling from Venice through the Prosecco Hills, Cortina and the Dolomites, across the Grossglockner High Alpine Road to Zell am See, and then through Berchtesgaden and Salzburg. It was easily one of the highlights of our entire European trip. Manfred and Patrick were exceptional from beginning to end. The planning process was thoughtful, organized, and tailored to what our family actually wanted, not simply a standard itinerary with our names added to it. They handled a fairly complicated route across multiple regions and countries and made the entire experience feel smooth and effortless. Throughout the tour, they struck the perfect balance between having a well-developed plan and remaining flexible. We never felt rushed or locked into a rigid schedule. There was plenty of time for scenic stops, photographs, short walks, meals, and spontaneous adjustments depending on the weather and how everyone was feeling. That flexibility was especially valuable while traveling as a family. Both Manfred and Patrick were knowledgeable, personable, professional, and genuinely enjoyable to spend time with. They shared information about the places we visited without making the experience feel like a nonstop history lecture. Their local knowledge also allowed us to experience incredible scenery and stops that we likely would never have discovered, or managed nearly as comfortably, on our own. The Mercedes van was spacious, extremely comfortable, and ideal for a multiday trip with four passengers and luggage. Having MCM manage the mountain roads, transportation, logistics, and daily routing allowed all of us to relax and enjoy the scenery instead of worrying about driving, parking, tolls, or navigating unfamiliar roads. They did far more than transport us between hotels; they created a seamless, personalized journey through some of the most beautiful parts of Italy, Austria, and Germany. We would enthusiastically recommend MCM Tours, and especially Manfred and Patrick, to anyone considering a private day tour or a customized multi-day European journey. Truly a five-star experience.

Educational and Scenic Tours Our full-day tour from Salzburg into the Bavarian Alps with Manfred was outstanding. The combination of breathtaking mountain scenery and fascinating World War II history made this one of the most memorable experiences of our trip. The tour included spectacular views of the Alps, beautiful mountain landscapes, and several significant WWII historical sites.. A highlight was visiting the Documentation Center, where we gained valuable insight into the events before and during World War II, followed by a visit to the area where Hitler spent much of his time planning and directing the war.. Manfred presented the history in a factual, engaging, and easy to understand way, providing important context that made the experience even more meaningful. Manfred was punctual, highly organized, and professional throughout the day. We traveled in a beautiful, new Mercedes-Benz van that was exceptionally comfortable, making the journey through the mountains just as enjoyable as the destinations themselves. He also recommended an excellent restaurant for lunch during the tour and provided outstanding dinner recommendations for afterward, which were some of the best meals we had during our stay. If you’re looking to better understand the history of World War II while experiencing some of the most spectacular mountain scenery in the region, I highly recommend this tour. Manfred’s knowledge, professionalism, engaging personality, and attention to detail make him an exceptional guide.

Amazing mountain, lake, and small villages Our full-day tour from Vienna to Salzburg with Manfred was one of the highlights of our trip. He arrived in a spacious, new Mercedes-Benz van, stocked with cold water and plenty of room to travel comfortably throughout the day. Manfred is an energetic, seasoned professional with exceptional knowledge of the region. He took the time to customize the tour based on our interests, ensuring we experienced the most breathtaking mountain and lake views along the way. Every stop was well planned, and his recommendations made the day even more memorable. He also coordinated an outstanding lunch at a wonderful local restaurant and provided excellent dinner recommendations for the remainder of our stay, all of which exceeded our expectations. What truly sets Manfred apart is his ability to bring the history, culture, and landscape to life. He has a natural talent for explaining the significance of each location in a way that is engaging, informative, and easy to understand, making the journey just as enjoyable as the destinations themselves. I highly recommend Manfred for any tour he offers. His professionalism, local expertise, attention to detail, and outstanding personality made for an exceptional experience that we will always remember.

Bleibt so besonders!
